Practical IPC for Cleaning & Environmental Services

Designed specifically for cleaning and laundry staff and their supervisors in aged care, this practical, floor-level workshop covers cleaning and disinfection, product selection and label reading, correct cleaning sequences, PPE, linen and waste management, blood and body fluid spills, exposure response, outbreak cleaning, and when to escalate concerns to your IPC Lead. 

Through practical scenarios, demonstrations and interactive activities, participants will learn how to apply IPC principles confidently in their everyday work - including what changes during outbreaks such as gastroenteritis, respiratory illness and C. difficile. 

Participants will also receive a range of practical IPC resources and quick-reference tools to support safe cleaning and laundry practices back in the workplace.
